Mr A Hoschtitzky leads the Adult Congenital Heart Diseases service at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He specialises in both paediatric and adult congenital heart diseases and assists patients across the entire North of England.
He qualified at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. He then completed his Basic Surgical Training in London, before undertaking Higher Surgical Training in Cardiothoracic Surgery in both Bristol and Manchester. He received the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Research Fellowship at the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London as well as Congenital Cardiac Surgery Fellowships at:
Mr Hoschtitzky holds a joint appointment between Central Manchester and Alder Hey as Congenital Cardiac Surgeon and Lead Surgeon for Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program. He also is currently working with a humanitarian organisation, entitled the International Children’s Heart Foundation, to set up a new self-sustainable Congenital Cardiac Surgery service for the North-East of Brazil.
